Storyteller's Club: My Story Is Just Beginning

I am a storyteller with a deep admiration for screenwriting and filmmaking.

Throughout my childhood, I would respond to questions about my career aspirations with something predictable like doctor or engineer. I changed my mind every day for over a decade, because I admittedly couldn't see myself going down any of the paths presented to me. There was one constant, however. Enamored by literature and the big screen, I wanted to tell stories that would change world views. But I had no idea where to start.

I genuinely believe that every success and failure alike steered me in exactly the right direction. I am extremely appreciative of the care with which my parents initially guided me towards their ideal career. It made me aware of what I didn't want to be doing and gave me faith in their willingness to support my future endeavors as I took charge of paving this path myself.

Family and friends always commented on my diplomacy, energetic personality, and aptitude for making connections. So, I decided to enter the multifaceted world of business. It wasn't screenwriting or animation, but it gave me the perfect opportunity to explore mass media while pursuing a different kind of storytelling. I also found an appreciation for the more technical side of business, connecting both the creative and analytical sides of my mind.

Now, as an aspiring marketing and finance professional in the media and entertainment industry, I want to help the brands behind some of the greatest films, books, and publications tell their stories so that they can focus on creating stories for you. And maybe somewhere along the way I'll write a book on my journey to becoming a storyteller, too.

With so much left to learn and an ever-evolving mindset, I hope to expand my network and seek mentorship from professionals who have walked upon this winding road before me. It is with great humility and gratitude that I am creating meaningful connections with peers I can learn from and grow with throughout this lifetime. I am incredibly grateful to be connected with some of the kindest peers across the Internet, on my college campus, and beyond.

As an artist and writer, I recognize that there are many stories still waiting for me to live let alone tell. Stories become legends. Storytellers become legendary. My story?
